Teaching Philosophy

Students will participate in patient directed learning, building the learning experience around the patient case load presented and a given patients unique and individual needs.  Students learn the importance of marketing to and recruiting patients for our diverse patient services.  We foster relationship building and grow patient and provider comminications skills.  Students are active participants in medication therapy management from pre-appointed preparation, conducting patient evaluation and assessment, and post appointment documentation.  We believe students learn by shadowing, practicing, doing and teaching.  Presentations to patients and other health care providers are routine.  We work on training students to become primary care pharmacist to their future patients.

Over the course of our century-long history, we have continuously been the pharmacy that patients trust.

Pharmacy Services
Goodrich pharmacy provides medication therapy management, disease state management and monitoring, health and wellness screenings, practice based research,  immunizations, and clinical assistance to providers at our collaborative clinics adjacent to us and to clinics in the northern suburbs.  We  practice pharmacy with the benefits of collaborative practice agreements, electronic medical record access and with standing orders to refill prescriptions and order labs. 

Professionalism and Assessment
Students to get a chance to shadow primary care and ob providers in our clinic location.

Resources
Students will use our private consultation office and workspace, have pc with internet access and latest references.  Free parking is located adjacent to the pharmacy.  All  pharmacist on staff are mtm qualified and enthusiastic about direct pharmacist patient care.  A1c , lipid panel, blood glucose and blood pressure monitoring equipment are located in your office
