Teaching Philosophy

Douglas County Hospital is committed providing educational opportunities to all healthcare profession students. We strongly believe in allowing the student to engage in as many opportunities as possible and this requires a self motivated individual. We strive to allow the student to experience all areas of pharmacy practice including observations in the following areas: Operating Room, Stress Testing, Respiratory Therapy, Emergency Room, Nursing Service, Oncology Services, and Same Day Surgery. The student is allowed to perform all tasks assigned to the pharmacist under the direct supervision of the pharmacist.
