The Geriatrics Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience is a 5 week experience with a specialized population of patients. These APPEs most commonly satisfy the requirement for Patient Care or Elective APPEs. Geriatric APPEs consist of supervised clinical pharmacy experiences in settings with focuses on caring for geriatric patients. Specific geriatric conditions, geriatric drug therapy and patient factors influencing therapy are included in the educational outcomes of this experience type. Sites include long term care centers and inpatient and outpatient practices with high percentages of geriatric patients.
