Community Practice

The Community Pharmacy Practice Experience is a required 5 week experience in a community (retail) pharmacy. Students are involved in community practice activities at least 40 hours per week. Emphasis will be placed on integrating principles of pharmaceutical care and pharmaceutical sciences with practice situations (prescription processing, pharmacy administration, OTCs, pharmacy law, etc). Learning outcomes focus on both distributive and patient care activities.
