Brainerd Region

The Brainerd Region is located in scenic central Minnesota. The center of the region is the City of Brainerd and includes the surrounding communities of Aitkin, Crosby-Ironton, Staples, Wadena, Little Falls, Onamia, Isle, Cross Lake, Motley and Pillager. Recognized for its year-round recreation, the Brainerd Lakes area is home to vacation properties, community colleges, industry, health care, and many amenities usually found in urban areas.

The Brainerd Region offers all required APPEs and several electives. The preceptors enjoy teaching and are interested in students and are dedicated to providing students quality educational experiences throughout the APPE year. We are proud to be the home region for Laura Schwartzwald, Medicine Shoppe, Brainerd, the 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 College of Pharmacy Preceptor of the Year.
