Centers of Research Excellence

In addition to the departmental facilities, the faculty in the Pharmaceutics program participate in interdisciplinary research centers and other research enterprises established at the University of Minnesota. These centers include: Masonic Cancer Center, Center for Biotherapy, and Center for the Health Effects of Airborne Particulate Matter.

A research services facility of the University of Minnesota, Bioanalytic and Pharmacokinetic Services, which operates under Good Laboratory Practice regulations, exists within the Department of Pharmaceutics. This laboratory acts as an interface with the pharmaceutical industry, performing preclinical and clinical studies on new chemical entities and existing drugs.
