After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, Masters, and Ph.D. in Pharmacology degree at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Dr. Kenneth (Ken) Miller began working for the University of Minnesota, College of Pharmacy in 1971 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics.  

He is responsible for establishing the Clinical Pharmacokinetics Laboratory.  In 1974, he was appointed head of the Drug Delivery Unit in the College which was responsible for curriculum development within the Department of Pharmaceutics.  He worked to coordinate and revise the course offerings and worked closely with the faculty in refining instructional efforts. 

After being appointed Assistant Dean of Clinical Sciences in 1980, Dr. Miller continued to lead curriculum revision in the College but in other disciplines that contributed to Pharmacy education. 

Because of his commitment to the College and its students, Pharmacy graduates continue to be recognized nationally as leaders in several branches of pharmacy.  Dr. Miller’s energy and dedication in this direction contributed to the success of many of those leaders. 

In 1982, Dr. Miller was recruited to fill an open position at the Albany College of Pharmacy, Union University in Albany, New York.  He remained in Albany until 1995 when he accepted the position as Vice President for Graduate Education, Research and Scholarship, at the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy.  He is currently the Senior Vice President of AACP.
