Research and education in the area of drug discovery and development and scientific services to research and business communities in the area of drug discovery and development.

Our Mission
To carry out interdisciplinary research, help educate the next generation of scientists, and to enhance the biomedical research infrastructure at the University of Minnesota by creating opportunities for drug discovery and early pre-clinical drug development through collaborations between various schools, colleges and research centers, as well as industrial and academic partners throughout the State of Minnesota and nationwide.

Our Structure and Capabilities

Over 40 faculty, scientific, professional and administrative staff, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate students.

Cutting edge scientific facilities and equipment with 20,000 square feet of laboratory and office space including Chemical Process Development, High Throughput Screening, and Lead and Probe Discovery Cores; Medicinal Chemistry and Analytical Laboratories.
