Research Interests:
Her research has focused on the assessment of quality of life and health outcomes in patients with diabetes, intensive care patients and other with medication- intensive chronic illnesses. Her current study, the Wellness Interventions After Transplant (WIAT), is a 5-year NIH funded clinical trial of a program of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction to reduce symptoms and improve quality of life in organ transplant recipients. She is also conducting studies to demonstrate the impact of non-pharmacologic therapies on insomnia.
