Educational Projects
Early Research Exposure Program (EREP) for Pharmacy Students Currently, there are eight PharmD students involved in the research experience program at different levels of involvement. The students will progress through the following stages:
Stage I.
- Introduction
- Directed literature readings
- Discussions
- Hypothesis formulation
- Data entry
- Hypothesis testing
Stage II.
- Statistical Analysis
- Monte Carlo simulation
- Laboratory experience
- Grant writing
- Abstract submission
Stage III.
- Clinical and Population Pharmacokinetics
- Clinical simulations
- Paper submissions
- Review Article
Students can enroll for credit in the Directed Research I, II, and III courses or may be in the honors program, PharmD paper program or elective Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE). Students are encouraged to apply for research fellowships during that time. Currently, we are preparing to help students participate in research rotations during their clinical training.
