Education

He received a B.S. in Pharmacy, University of Missouri; a Pharm.D., University of Kentucky; a Masters in Public Administration, Ohio State University; and a Ph. D. in Pharmaceutical Administration, Ohio State University.

Research Interests

Dr. Schondelmeyer has conducted policy analysis related to reimbursement of prescription drugs under Medicaid, Medicare, managed care and other third-party programs. He has been Commisioner of the Prescription Drug Payment Review Commission and served in an advisory capacity to Congress for the now-repealed Medicaid outpatient drug program. He has conducted research projects for a variety of sponsors, including the Health Care Financing Administration, the U.S. General Accounting Office, the Congressional Office of Technology Assessment, the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the pharmaceutical industry and pharmaceutical associations. He has also conducted research for governments, organizations and associations of more than 30 countries, including Argentina, Canada, France, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, the United Kingdom and Venezuela.
