Mission


The PRIME Institute serves as a focal point for study of economic and public policy issues related to pharmaceutical products and services. Research interests encompass a broad range of topics related to pharmaceuticals and public policy including:

  • Monitoring trends and economic indicators related to the pharmaceutical market (consumers, pharmacists, pharmacies, pharmaceutical firms, managed care organizations and pharmaceutical benefits managers);
  • Evaluation of the design and impact of pharmaceutical benefit plans;
  • Assessment of factors influencing access and affordability of medicines;
  • Characterization of competitive and economic factors in the pharmaceutical market;
  • and Pharmacoeconomic studies of pharmaceutical products and services.
