Welcome to the Center for Excellence in Critical Care

The Center for Excellence in Critical Care was established in 1998 as an alliance between healthcare practitioners and researchers at the University of Minnesota, the University of Minnesota Medical Center - Fairview, VA Medical Center and Regions Hospital committed to the advancement of research, training and practice in critical care.

The Center offers seminars, speakers and coursework in critical care for postbaccalaureate trainees as well as critical care practitioners. The Center faculty are involved in critical care research intent on increasing the knowledge of critical care medicine.

Educational and Outreach Opportunities

Continual learning contributes to the goal of improved care and outcomes of the critically ill.  The Center offers seminars, conferences, symposia, and courses to critical care practitioners and post-baccaluareate students through continuing education programs and University coursework.

The Partnership for Excellence in Critical Care is a network of critical care practitioners at leading academic health centers, dedicated to the advancement of research, education and outreach in critical care. Participants in the Partnership are committed to moving the benefits of critical care research into clinical practice.

The Partnership for Excellence in Critical Care was developed to provide all medical professionals who practice critical care with a resource for offering the best and most up-to-date care to their patients.
