AeroCore Inhalation Testing Research Facility

The Aerocore Inhalation Testing Research Facility provides aerosol/vapor exposures to rodent animal models for the purpose of testing the safety and efficacy of inhaled materials.

AeroCore is streamlined to provide a compressed time-line of services from initial contact to completion. The services are comprehensive to include animal use approval (IACUC), handling chemicals of unknown safety, analytical support, written protocols and documented results with minimal contract negotiation time.

Cancer and Drug Delivery Experience

Co- Director Frank Ondrey, M.D., Ph.D., FACS, is a practicing physician and actively involved in the prevention and treatment of respiratory and head and neck cancers. As part of his focus on translational medicine, he has specific expertise in the identification and validation of biomarkers.

Co-Director Jayanth Panyam, Ph.D, has interests in the research and development of polymeric-based drug delivery systems for targeted treatments of disease.

Lab Manager Timothy Wiedmann, Ph.D, (Pharmaceutics) has over 20 years of providing technical support for the inhalation delivery of drugs.

AeroCore is set up as an Internal/External Sales Organization at the University of Minnesota. The services are available as cafeteria-like options with a pre-approved cost structure. Thus, AeroCore is streamlined to provide a compressed time-line of services from initial contact to completion.
