The University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy: enhancing the health of Minnesotans
The College of Pharmacy at the University of Minnesota is recognized as one of the outstanding pharmacy education and research institutions in the world.
 |
We are ranked among the top three colleges of pharmacy in the United States by the Gourman Report and U.S. News and World Report, and is fully accredited by the American Council On Pharmaceutical Education. Graduates of the College's four-year doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program enter the profession as well-qualified, highly sought-after pharmacists.
We are the only college of pharmacy in Minnesota. We expanded our program to the University of Minnesota Duluth campus in September 2003. This helps us better serve the needs of Minnesotans, especially those in rural areas.

The College's programs are supported by centers of excellence in diverse areas of pharmacy, such as pharmaceutics, geriatrics, pharmacy management and economics, rural pharmacy and pharmaceutical care. The teaching, research and service activities of the 48 full-time faculty members and hundreds of volunteer faculty are focused in four disciplines: medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical care and health systems, and experimental and clinical pharmacology.
The College is housed in the University of Minnesota Academic Health Center, a complex designed specifically for health education, research and practice. Pharmacy students have access to modern classrooms, laboratories and more than 350,000 volumes of pharmacy resource materials.
The University of Minnesota, a Big Ten University, is located in the beautiful and thriving cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, with easy access to a wide range of social, cultural, recreational and athletic activities.
